High risk hpv

To start off I just turned 21 in April and I plan on making my first Pap smear appointment this week. Anyways, in the past I was extremely dumb and have had unprotected sex with 4-5 people. I don’t have stds although I’m not sure about hpv because I haven’t gotten tested. I’m really nervous and scared...has anyone been diagnosed with high risk hpv? The kind that causes cancer. What did they do next?

Also, can someone reassure me that they’ve had unprotected sex with different people? I’m just really nervous and have so many regrets.
