Any home birth/unassisted birth mama's here?

I've had a home birth and a birth center birth. Trying to decide which route to take w my 6th babe! My partner prefers the birth center rather than home.

I want an assisted home birth, but our insurance won't cover it. Our closest birth center closed, so that's out now, too. 😢 I'll be doing a natural hospital birth with a midwife. Every now and then I'm tempted to "Oops, stayed at home too long..." LOL!

I give y'all credit!! I'm too chicken, definitely getting an epidural! That and I'm afraid of something going wrong and not being at a hospital

Go for the home birth if you are not a high risk.

We are having our fourth home birth. None have been covered by insurance so we pay out of pocket 100%. The price has more than doubled since our first home birth 10 years ago!! 😳 I would really like a very hands off births this time and I live over an hour from my midwife so she may not make it in time.

Had a home water birth with my first and plan to do the same for my second :) I'm a doula and after assisting at both home and hospital births, I'm just not brave enough to do a hospital birth.

We are having a home water birth. After doing months of research I know that is the best fit for my husband and I. I believe that women are created with the natural ability to birth babies. Our bodies and our babies know what to do, we just need to trust in that.

Home birth with a midwife. I had one 8 years ago with my middle child. Loved it. She was my water birth. 
Tried for a UC with my youngest and ended up transferring after some issues. It all worked out fine though.

Have my first real appointment with my midwife tomorrow. After having had a variety of experiences the only one I know I won't do again by choice is plan a hospital birth. :)

No home birth and no unassisted...my hubs would panic! We are going to a awesome birthing center covered by insurance. 
If you and your hubs are okay with unassisted birth, then I say go for it and have fun.

My hospital had a birth center in it. But I need scheduled c section. But the hospital is so beautiful.
