Weird period

So I've been on birth control pills for a year so my periods have been extremely regular and never off. But on my 2nd week of the pack I started bleeding lightly and it's been going on for a week now. My actual period is supposed to be due Sunday. I haven't missed any pills or made any changes so what could cause this out of bo where?
