Would you allow your SO to write letters/develop friendship with someone of the opposite sex?

Would you have a problem with your SO developing a friendship through writing letters to someone of the opposite sex? (Pen-pal friendship). 
Letters are exchanged once a week and are roughly 5-7 pages long on neutral topics.

I wouldn’t “allow” an SO to do anything. Because I’m not a parent to anyone.

I actually pen pal several people through letters in the mail, whatsapp and email but my husband has access to it all and can read them at any time and any time I get crappy people I block them on whatsapp and archive the convo so he will still be able to see it all and i save all emails and move them into separate folders of their own which he also has access to etc. I don't have any thing to hide and honestly it's been a relief since I and a SAHM who doesn't get out much this is my sanity lol
