Does he like me?

Theres this guy in a few if my classes, who I talk to but I'm not "friends" with. He often smiles at anything I say or do, even if it isn't funny, and calls my name, only to forget what he was going to say, blush, and go 'never mind'. I'm practically head over heels for him. He also tells his friend to leave me alone when he's annoying me, which I appreciate. Does he like me?
