torn tongue frenulum

i was making out with my boyfriend and he started to suck on my tongue, he sucked a little too hard and i felt a pop, i tasted blood and when i went to check, the small piece of tissue under my tongue that connects my tongue to the bottom of my mouth (frenulum) was torn, it’s been 2 days since and it hurts still to talk or eat, it’s a little white now, has anyone had this happen? HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO HEAL? i’ve looked it up and it’s not uncommon and people say it usually heals on its own but i haven’t seen anything about how long it’ll take to heal.
