Drinking during TTW?

Still debating this one with my friends. Do you drink (one or two) during the TTW? Husband and I think no, others say it’s fine.

I did, I’m not a heavy drinker but I definitely went to a few happy hours during my TWW. I got my positive test this month on a Monday and I had just drank that Friday and Saturday. I think it’s too early to have a profound effect unless you’re overdoing it. But I get why some people would rather not take the chance. I just decided I didn’t want my normal life to stop or else ttc would stress me out more than it already was.

I try not to, I’ll have a glass at a social event so I don’t raise many eyebrows though!

Me and the Hubby had a big argument about that. But i try not to anymore, other than like what others said, during social events which hasnt really coincided often with my ttw. (TTC baby #1 for 6 months)

I was just asking a friend about this! I think this early on it doesn’t really affect anything since the egg (if fertilized) is still in the Fallopian tube. I think once it reaches the cervix and is implanted (about 2wks post ovulation) is when it would matter, but that would be around the time you’d take a test and find out if you are or not anyway. I’ve known tons of people who drank without even knowing they were pregnant and everything was fine.

I do. It helps take the edge off... I don’t see how a glass or two of wine or beer occasionally be any worse than stuffing your face with junk food or anything else.
