Crib or Pack n Play?

Question

I'm on the home stretch 5 weeks to go.  We have both a crib and pack n play.  I'm wondering if I can get some opinions on wether it's worth me putting the crib together ASAP for baby or if I should just use the pack n play bassinet portion until baby hits the 15lb weight limit?  Baby will be in our room either way as we live in an in law.  Any thoughts/opinions are appreciated.

I have both too. I'm not putting the crib up until she's about 4 months old... My pack n play comes with a bassinet.

We have both as well and aren't in a rush to put the crib up because we'll be using the pack n' play at first since it can be right beside our bed like a bassinet. We were in the middle of building an addition to our home but paused it when I got pregnant so baby will be sharing a room with us too for at least the first 6mos 😊

We have a crib in the baby's room but we will not be using it most likely. I just got a arm's reach co sleeper that connects to our bed it looks like a pack and play but it's smaller. I had a pack n play with a bassinet  with our first son and I used the bassinet in the pack and play for him.

I'm 5 weeks out also, what's your due date? We just ordered a pack and play for the baby's first few months as he'll be in our bedroom. I also enjoy that it will grow with the baby and if he ever needs to spend the night at grandmas we can take the pack and play. We also have a crib in his nursery, but I wont transition him for a few months, so really you can wait a while if you have the pack and play. Heads up, summer infant online I noticed has 50% off their entire site every 3-5 months ( they're probably due for it soon) and we got a crib that converts into a day bed for $99. Best baby buy I feel.

Save the space, use the pack n play. We had my son in a pack n play in our room for 18 months before we finally built another room on the house and now the kids will have their own space, once this little one is big enough to go in the room in her crib, but for now we haven't set up her crib either, just the PnP as we're still doing some painting and furniture rearranging in their room. You'll know when it's time to stop using the pack n play, and that is pretty much once they figure out how to climb out.

Pack n play only. We weren't planning for her so we resigned to live in our little rental which means small rooms and spaces. We need our guest room for visiting family. I also wouldn't want to torture my 7 y.o. by making him share a room with a baby that will interrupt his sleep when he starts school. He has already generously donated half of his closet-that he shows to all of his friends who come to play. I think he's more excited about her wardrobe than I am lol!

Pack n play is what we have set up in our room. We have a crib, but his older sister (14 mos) is still currently using hers, and our son is still in his toddler bed, and we are in the middle of a move. We have three cribs, but I two separate houses, which obviously isn't going to work.

We are only having our baby sleep in our room for a couple of weeks… Have to get the baby transitioned to the crib so when we start daycare he/she used to it. But I think it just depends on your situation. Packing play sounds helpful for quite a while based on other people's posts.

We're getting a pak-n-play she'll be sharing our room until she gets of age & we move into a bigger space
