is breastfeeding causing me to miscarry?

this is the 2nd pregnancy that ended at 5-6wk in 6mo. im still breastfeeding my 18mo old.

Answer

I was told to wait 18-24 months postpartum for my body to be in prime health for getting pregnant again.
I haven't heard that breastfeeding causes early miscarriages but that it can make it difficult to get pregnant since you can have delayed periods and ovulation.

I’m sorry for your loss. But I was afraid of this because my son was 3 months old and I was EBF when I found out I was pregnant with my second, I brought it up to my doctor and he says it doesn’t cause miscarriage but he does recommend stoping at 20 weeks because your uterus is bigger and can cause painful cramping and can also be really hard on your body anytime past then.
