Very watery discharge

We are trying to conceive and my period is three days late, well this morning when I wiped, there was some red on the tissue so I thought my period was coming. I use a diva cup for my periods so I put it in. I went to work today, came home and took it out to check it and it was half full of a very light pink, very thin, watery discharge...is this an extremely weird period or is this normal in early pregnancy? Is everything ok? I hope some of you have some experience to share with me!
