When to test?

I got nexaplanon (implant) put in when I wasn't on my period. Doc said wait 14 days before sex while leaflet and pphood.com said 7 days withback up if not put in during period. I had bare sex right at 14 days. The day i had sex, right at 2 weeks after it was put in, i was also due to start in a week. I have only spotted three days prior to when i'm to get my period. I only noticed when i did my tissue cervix check (tissue up vagina to check cm). I have heartburn, nasuea, cranky, weepy. my cervix since i gotten it in has been supper low is now med/high. with all this info should i test day of period or?
