I think I’m falling for him

There’s this guy I’ve been talking to for a while, we’re just friends and only ever hung out at parties before he got deployed. He’s in the army and has another 2 years to go, he gets out in 2020. Well anyway we’ve been talking for a while and never thought he would be anyone I would go for but he’s just so nice to me and so sweet and always tells me how beautiful I am. I really really like him now but I don’t really want to tell him because he’s in the army and I don’t want to get my hopes up knowing it might not even work out.. idk what to do I believe hes coming back soon but I’m not sure so honestly idk when I’ll see him again.. my question is what should I do? Should I wait for him? Should I tell him?
