Ultrasound hurt?!

I went and seen my obgyn yesterday and when I went into the ultrasound room she had me lay down but after pushing on my belly with the Monitor it hurt so bad is that normal for any of you woman?🙄

I believe it depends on the tech. I had an ultrasound at 18 weeks for anatomy and it seemed like the tech was trying to get the handle to touch my baby. The baby, of course, didn't like this. He was NOT cooperating and we did not get all the photos we needed in our hour long appointment. We went back a week later and a different tech was so gentle and sweet and got all the photos in 13 minutes and we even had time to just sit and watch him move around.

With my first pregnancy ultrasounds never hurt but during this pregnancy they have hurt since 19 weeks. It sucks because due to complications I get them every 4 weeks or less and they always hurt.

I got an ultrasound at 12 weeks and the tech pushed on my stomach over and over again that it was left feeling sore for two days 😕

honestly I'm not sure what was normal lol. at my 12 week the tech was so gentle, barely touched or pushed at all. then at my 20 week a different tech felt like she was trying to actually touch my baby from the outside. so I have no idea.
