When did I get old?

So this is my first pregnancy, Just recently managed to buy our first house. Been with my partner 15 ish years. Everything I read speaks about 35 being geriatric...... what is it really that bad?

I was 39 when I had my last baby she 10 months old and I’m now 40 and 5 weeks pregnant with my 5th baby I don’t feel old  at all and I am  happy to be having another baby (a little shocked but happy)

I’m in the same boat!  Recently married after 12 years together, bought house after honeymoon and just found we are pregnant. I’m 37 and he’s 41.  I don’t feel old?

I’m 37 and had a great pregnancy so far, healthy weight , normal blood pressure, no swallowing. I’ve been super active during the pregnancy and even traveled at least one a month. From what I’ve seen at my prenatal yoga class and at the doctors office We’re (baby and me) done so far a lot better than most 20 year olds. I think how healthy you were pre pregnancy matters a lot more than age.

there are some risks that start to gradually increase at 35 and become steeper as you get closer to 40
but I'm in Norway where you're not considered advanced age until 38, and even then the difference in care is only minor. many women have perfectly healthy, uncomplicated pregnancies after 35. I'm on my second post 35 pregnancy and am still considered low risk

I'm 39 but my doctor is not concerned at all because I'm healthy. You just have to test more. More and more ladies are having babies well into their 40s so in my city this is still normal baby range.

I'm in a very similar situation: bought a house and got married last year, with husband for now 8 years, and turned 35 in February. 16 weeks and doctors use 35+ as a precautionary with more appts to be on the safe side; however, said they get more concerned when you are 38+. I reside in the United States so it might be different where you live.
