How much do you usually spend on a baby shower gift? Please read below

I know it depends on who it's for, but I mainly asking if you got something for someone that you didn't really care for but had to go to the baby shower? The lady that gave me my shower has a daughter that's having her shower next month so I'm kinda obligated to go, how much would you spend if you was in the situation?

If it were me, I would keep the same budget the person had for me. I wouldn't want to offend by going less expensive and more expensive is overkill.

you should do a personalize baby swaddle .. its about $30-60 (i alwAys get ppl those) or make a diaper cake. i made this one last week.. spent $40.

My best friend is having a shower and I am still matching what she spent for my shower. It also depends on what you can afford, i spent $50 - 1 set of small bottles, 1 set of big bottles, a drying rack, a bottle brush and a formula dispenser/holder. Honestly since her mom threw your shower I would get her 1 big thing she needs.

usually for my friends i spend $200 min. but if it's for a close friend or family member i usually spend over $800.. i buy them strollers-cribs-bassinet-clothes plus host their showers And buy clothes through out the pregnancy. I love Baby things

I’d probably say around $25. A small package of diapers and something cute like a bib or blanket. Or a couple outfits 🤷🏻‍♀️ I definitely wouldn’t be spending 50+ on somebody I didn’t know well... not made of money here!

I'd say more like $50 would be standard gift price for an acquaintance.
With that being said, I'm having a small baby shower thrown by my coworkers and don't expect anything big from them. Maybe an outfit or toy.. I'm more than appreciative that they came out to celebrate and brought a gift. I could care less what it's worth or what I'd spend on them, it's truly the thought that counts!
