Ladies i need some advice or opinions. Per my last period I should be about 9 weeks but per ultrasound im between 6-7 weeks at the most. About a week ago i went for a sonogram and you could see the gestational sac and yoke. This week i was to go back and it looked the same so doctor ordered blood work and stated he expected HCG levels to double in 48 hours. Well the levels only increased by around 100. He is talking miscarriage and a D&C.; From research I have read that sometimes it can take levels up to 4 or more days to double and as for the ultrasound i read that depending on the resolution of the ultrasound that the fetal pole and heartbeat may not show until weeks 8 or 9. I have had ZERO symptoms of a miscarriage. And my levels didn’t increase much but they did increase. (They were 38,989 today) So im thinking maybe I should get a second opinion. What do you fellow moms think?!
