If I were to conceive a couple days before my period was supposed to happen, when would I get an actual positive on a pregnancy test? Ok, so I know you’re supposed to test after your first missed period. But what if I were to conceive a couple days before I was supposed to get my period? When should I test? I feel like I can’t get a negative/positive this early.

Most women have to wait two weeks after ovulation to get a positive test. With early detection tests (like the FRER) you might be able to test at about 8 days after ovulation. Just depends.

It takes about 10 or more days for enough Hcg to be produced to register on a test. So at the bare minimum, you should expect to know something 10 days from your ovulation day. It usually takes longer than that though. 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you conceived before your period then you should wait a week to test, maybe even longer.
