Mirena....paragard?

Question

who’s chosen mirena or paragard for birth control? 
How long have you had it and hows your experience so far? 
I’m debating getting it because I believe we’re done having babies but don’t want to make a permanent decision.. hormonal birth control doesn’t work for me, and we do ‘extended’ breastfeeding if that matters... (so I’m thinking paragard may be better for me??)
I’ve read both good and bad experiences but need a little push to make a decision

I’ve had both and liked the paragard a lot better! I don’t do well with hormonal birth control. I had mine for 5 years before removing it to get pregnant and at my 6 week check up after my daughter was born I got another one. 
I say go for it!

I had the mirena prior to getting pregnant and had horrible migraines with it

This is the 2nd time I've had Mirena ( got it at six week pp appointment.) It was effective the first time. So far this time, I haven't noticed a drop in my supply, so there is that. I assume its effective this time, lol. Also last time I didn't have any periods, so that's a bonus. This time, just some spotting so far. Good luck!

I’m loving the Paraguard. I was getting terrible migraines with hormone therapy, and was really freaked out about getting the paraguard placed, but it was really a breeze. I haven’t gotten my period yet, so I can’t account for that, but to feel like my normal self and not some crazy woman because of the hormones is pretty awesome.

I’m thinking I would get the paragard since there aren’t any hormones... there’s so many reviews both good and bad I’m so nervous to try it

Just got my mirena removed after 9 weeks of bleeding on it. I even tried birth control pills to get it to stop. I’m pretty bummed because it sounded amazing.
