Anterior Placenta?

I was just told I have an anterior placenta. I know it means it's in front of him.
Could this cause problems?

I've had an anterior placenta with both of my children but the midwives never made a big deal out of it. In fact, I really only knew through my charts online! Both of my kids were born face up with very minimal tearing (2 stitches with my son, no tearing with my daughter) and I didnt have back labor. I could still feel my children's kicks quite strongly also. If you're concerned maybe talk to your doctor and ask them what risks may be associated and what can be done to monitor/make sure everything is progressing fine.

It would cause any problems, it just may take longer to feel kicks.

it hasn't for me. It just took longer for me to feel his movements. I'm 25 W 3 d now and he looks great.

I mean there’s a slight chance it can grow down towards the cervix instead of up , I have an anterior placenta and they just told me it may be harder for the doctor to find the babies heart beat as I won’t feel movement as early but in 19 weeks with my second and I can see his movement on the outside of my belly and have been able to feel them for weeks. The doctors always find the heart beat right away so that hasn’t been an issue for us.
