Ok to use regular bug spray on 3.5 month old?

They sell those clip on things so you don't need to put products on your LO's skin. Bug spray contains way too many chemicals. I don't even like using it on myself.

It has to do with the percentage of deet. I think it’s under 30% for babies but double check me on that.

I got my 15 month old one of those bracelets that are suppose to keep bugs away. I put it on his ankle so he wouldn’t try to put it in his mouth.

Honestly I think it depends on where you live. I live in a very humid part of the US with lots of lakes/rivers/marshes. Bugs are awful here, and so are the diseases they carry so my pedi made a big deal about making sure we use bug repellant of some kind. The clips and patches are great (although mine try’s to chew on them sometimes so watch for that), there are also certain sprays that are safe for babies. I always spray it on her clothes before I put them on her instead of her skin too which keeps some of the chemicals from absorbing.
