Early babies?

Anyone here have their baby really early? I have to get a planned C-section between 30-34 weeks (it’s a long story, pretty much he cant accept blood transfusions after 34 weeks so it a risk to keep him in) I’m really nervous that he’ll be so small and have to stay in the NICU for a while☹️ any tips?

I would prepare for a NICU stay of at least a few weeks. that's just normal. and yes he will be tiny but he will be far enough along that his chances of thriving are great. he will just need some help getting nutrition and oxygen and what not at least.

I had my first at 33 weeks. She spent four weeks in the NICU, but wasn’t ever in serious danger. It wasn’t great, and I still don’t really like to drive by the hospital, but she is 100% fine now!

If he needs a transfusion prepare yourself for the NICU I had my oldest at 34 weeks and thrived there but was still in for 8 days

Had my twins at 34 wks. Girl 12 days in nicu. Boy 14 days in nicu he went home on a heart monitor, no further complications. They mainly had to stay so long because they were not finishing their meals by themselves until then

My first was 29 weeks. He was in the nicu almost 6 weeks and he didn’t have any complications. Prepare for nicu time especially if he has complications
