My cat is getting bald by her ears,on the side of her belly and the back of her legs. Should I worry?

My cat turned 1 years old April 15th and she has always usually had a huge bald spot by her ear but now on inside of her right and left leg it's getting really bald and around her butt! On the left side of her stomach she's losing fur.. My dad's dog does tend to nip her when he gets hyper and wants to play but nothing to be able to make her like this.

Could be ringworm if it's round bald spots . . . Definitely check with a vet.  FYI kitty can give ringworm to you and your family.

Over grooming is common. Unless you see a rash on your cats skin, I wouldn't bother racking up the vet bills.

She might have fleas my dogs hair is getting thin around his ears to its getting hot and about that time to get him dipped all that scratching can do that

My cat had this when i was living at my mom's. It was anxiety due to being around other cats (she had 4). The vet gives her a shot to help her not scratch and medicine we have to give her once a week. It worked wonders. Maybe your cat has anxiety because of the dog?

That started to happened to my dog and it turns out that it was some kind of bacterial skin infection. Just apply some kind of antibacterial cream on it (I used monistat. Lol)

Could be fleas or an allergy to something. No harm giving a flea and worm dose and see if there's any improvement. After that, perhaps look into allergy testing.

Just had this problem with one of our kitties and turns out our other kitty scraped her and she was scratching at the wound making her hair fall out. Our vet recommended cleaning the area and applying Neosporin to it once a day. That helped for a little while but the wound ended up getting infected and we had to take her in again to get antibiotics to help out. It's always safest to go to your vet if you're worried, it could be nothing but you never know for sure. Hope everything goes well 😊

We normally see that in cats with fleas. If you can definitely rule out fleas, then your looking at a more serious problem, kidney issues are common in cats and can tend to cause cats to be in enough pain to pull out their own hair. Contact your veterinarian and get a consultation. Good luck!
