progesterone pills, do they work?

Christina

Hello everyone!

So I have not had a period in 215 days.

I went to an endo, and she prescribed me progesterone pills 10mg, to take for ten days to help induce a period. well I am on day 8 now and the only thing I got was a slight cramping around 2 am every morning since taking these pills. I have also had blood work done, thyroid ultrasound, and a trans vaginal ultrasound. Blood work and thyroid came back fine, but the trans vaginal ultrasound showed cysts on my ovaries. My endo thinks I could have PCOS, but she also said that it doesn't make any sense because it does not reflect in my blood work. So she suggested to see an OBGYN to confirm her assumption of PCOS. Anyway has anyone ever gone through this that could shed as little light on what is going on here?!

Thank you in advance! 😁
