PCOS diagnosis.. can i have kids?

hi ladies
I was diagnosed with PCOS last week and I'm super down about my ability to have kids. the doctor told me the chances are very low of conceiving and even if I do that I will most likely miscarry. 
Any positive feedback would be appreciated. I've started taking Inosol (spelling) and I'm slowly making changes to my diet and increasing my activity. not sure what to think I'm just really bummed out.

Your doctor had no right to scare you like that. The chances of conceiving with pcos are very high! It can definitely make things more difficult but it is possible, my advice would be to ditch that doctor and see a specialist.

It is definitely possible. We may have longer and harder roads than other women but we can still make the journey

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 8 years ago and my 4yo can't wait to become a big sister in December.  I've also not had any issue with miscarriages. I'm sorry he said that to you!!! There are definitely treatments that can help! Our DD was a one shot deal lol but this one took over 2 years and 3 IUIs. When you do get ready to start trying,  I would suggest tracking your temp every day to get to know your body and know exactly when you ovulate. That's what helped us. Good luck!!

thanks ladies! you all have me the fight to call my clinic and demand to speak to an endocrinologist. I'm seeing her on Thursday and I'm going to get a more informed opinion from her.

I have PCOS and I’m pregnant !! It may just be a little harder for you to conceive but don’t worry !!

You need to find a different doctor.  Many don’t know anything about PCOS.  Find a specialist who focuses on PCOS.  It doesn’t mean you can’t have kids, just might be a bit tougher.  I was diagnosed with PCOS and my doctor said as far as fertility issues go it’s the best one to have.  Turns out on top of pcos my husband has low sperm count so we are dealing with other issues, but it’s not impossible.  You’ll be ok.
