I went online to google it and i saw a lot of websites say 39 weeks . This was news to me because my doctors and the hospital I’m having her at both said that full term is considered anything 37 weeks and after...

If you go into labor on your own at 37 weeks they won't stop it.  But they won't try to get baby out by intervention until 39 weeks because research shows that babies tend to be at risk of nicu (eg lungs bring underdeveloped) before 39 weeks, but after 37 weeks if you go into labor on your own then chances are high that baby was ready. For that reason, 37 weeks is early term, 38 weeks is term, 39 weeks is full term, and 41 weeks or more is late term.

I have a 15 month old and when i was pregnant with her they told me 39 weeks is full term and thinking that 37 weeks was full term was an outdated way of thinking and that research has shown that babies need to cook until 39 weeks whenever possible. I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant and this new ob said the same thing. 37 is early term, 38 is term, and 39 is full term.

37 weeks is I think technically full term, but most OBs these days want you to get to 39 weeks. Research has shown that birth taking place either before 39 weeks or after 41 weeks increases the chance of a stillbirth.
