I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant, my little guy has some fluid behind his neck the doctors are worried about. The doctors did the blood test and it came back negative for downs and trisomy 13 and 18. So they wanted me to do an amnio. My amnio is in the morning but I’m starting to have some doubt on wether to do it or not. The baby is growing perfectly, has a great heartbeat and is very very active. I’m concerned of the bad outcomes of the amnio and if it’s honestly even necessary to risk the chances of it. I have read some things saying the fluid usually goes away after 20 weeks or so. Has any other mother had the fluid on their babies and is the amnio worth doing? I feel so torn and I want to make the right decision..I need all the help I can get!!
