Is oral birth control effective after the first month?

I am on lo loestrin Fe and the packer says to wait 7 days but some ppl say oral contraceptives aren’t effective until a certain time and i just want to be sure and understand why before i have unprotected sex

If the packet says it’s effective after 7 days, then that’s what is most accurate. Birth controls & all official information in their packets (which is written by the manufactures), has to be approved by the FDA before it can be sold & used. Which means, it absolutely HAS to be accurate, otherwise there could be lawsuits. In most cases, the “one month” time frame is outdated information & just extra precautionary.
