So I’m 25 and I’m still on my parents insurance. Before you get all judgey, I offered to be removed when I hit 18 to help alleviate some expenses for my parents but it would have still cost the same with my sister on there so my parents said no, stay on. It is great insurance! Well, I just found out that we are expecting a little baby in February...but I get kicked off the insurance in about 4 1/2 weeks. I am starting a new job next Monday (great timing right 🙄) but of course won’t be eligible for benefits right away. In Texas, women can get Medicaid while pregnant and uninsured but I don’t know anyone who has done that or been through it so I am truly at a loss! My doctors office said they accept certain kinds of Medicaid (Cooks or Aetna) but that just confused me more because I didn’t know there were different kinds!! I am seeing the doctor on Friday so I’m sure I’ll get some kind of idea but it’s all I can think about in the meantime. Does anyone have any advice or experience to share? Appreciate in advance 😘
