Woke up at 5:30 am on Monday 6/11 with contractions already 3 min apart

Woke up at 5:30 am on Monday 6/11 with contractions already 3 min apart. I didn't think much of it, I started timing them and I timed them for an hour. Took a shower. Got some water. Contractions continued and progressed so I called the birth center and they told us to head in. Came in got checked and was at 4 cm. They told us to go for a walk for an hour and see if I dilate more. The walk lasted maybe 25 min before I couldn't stand anymore during contractions. Made 1/2 cm progress so they sent me to l&d. I used a birthing ball for a while till I got tired and wanted pain meds, got some through the IV. Closed my eyes but couldn't sleep and get actual rest. After that wore off, went and got in the tub for about half hour. Came back and laid in bed for a while and got the epidural when I was at 6 cm. After the epidural kicked in, one water bag broke on its own. I guess I had two, so the OB came in and popped the second water bag. From the time the first one popped to the time she popped the second one (maybe 20 min) I went from 6 cm to 8. I laid down and rested my eyes some more and then kept feeling this "pooping feeling" That I had to go and that meant time to push. Called in the nurse and she checked me and said I was at 10 and could start pushing. After my water broke it was hardly a full hour before I was pushing. Pushed for about an hour and baby was born! Even with the epidural the pain of the pressure on my pelvic bone was awful, but as soon as she was completely out all the pain was gone. Had a few stitches from tearing. Did skin to skin for the first hour and she fed for about 45 min total. By 10 pm we were in our postpartum room and everything was good. Baby slept through most of the night till staff came in to take her for her bath. Fed her when she got back, another 30 min total. She woke up on her own at 7 and ate again for 45 min. She's doing great with feeding and I'm doing good with healing. Sore for sure, really uncomfortable. But healing looks good. Planned to be going home tomorrow afternoon! ❤ couldn't be happier to finally have my little June bug! Charlotte Mae Wilson 6/11/18 7lb 11 oz 20.5 in long.
