9 eggs retrieved yesterday. Total failure.

So the Dr just called after my retrieval yesterday and said sorry but nothing worked. They are not sure exactly why - all the tests up until now showed or chances as excellent. Something wrong with the eggs or the sperm or both that they didn’t anticipate. Maybe abnormalities. They don’t know what it is. They’re really sorry. Months of hope and over ten thousand dollars gone - all the money we had. Come in in a couple of weeks to discuss it, but that’s all they can do. I’m in shock. I’m absolutely devastated.
