Anyone done this?

So I’m 17, I graduated from high school early. Right now I live in Virginia with my mom. My boyfriend and his mom moved to Florida and our plan was when i graduated I was going to move down there. I’ve asked attorneys and everything and they said it is legal for me to move down there without parents permission as long as I’m enrolled in college which I am. Im wondering if anyone else has moved out of state to go to college without your parents being okay with it.
