newborn clothes?

how long do babies wear newborn size clothing? Just realized I don't have very many clothes in that size and wondering how much I need!

My first was 8lbs 3oz and was only in new born for maybe a month.

my son was 8 lbs 12.2 oz but could still wear most of his newborn stuff for a month or so. I'm definitely not buying many newborn outfits this time around either but I will get a few.

Mine was born at 6 lbs. She was in preemie for 2 weeks then newborn for 2 months.

It really depends on the size of your baby.  My daughter was 5lb 5oz at birth, and wore sz newborn for 6 weeks.  My sisters son was born at 9 lbs and went straight to 0-3.

My son was 7.9 and wore preemie clothes for 2 weeks then newborn for like 2 months. He was only 9 pounds at his 2 month check up

Our son was 8.9 at birth but 7.10 when we brought him home. He’s 3 weeks old and still in newborn. It depends on the brand though. Gerber onesies in 0-3 fit him okay but other brands are giant on him. We had to go out and buy newborn clothes when I realized the little dude only had about 3 outfits. What we brought to the hospital to bring him home in was too big because it was 0-3. Oh well 🤷🏼‍♀️ now he has clothes that fit.

My 9.2  pounder was in them for a couple weeks. But the 0-3 month was way too big, so I’m glad I had a few newborn.
