When are you telling work?

I'm 5 weeks today. I planned to do the usual and wait until 12 weeks, but I have a very stressful job and worry if I don't say something soon (so they can accommodate), I may lose the baby. How soon is too soon?

I told my boss the day after I found out. I was only like 3weeks. Not risking my baby over a job.

This is a very personal decision that you have to make and it depends on many things.

The whole reason people wait until 12 wks is bc the risk of mc drops quite a bit. By telling people before then you run the risk of having to explain to multiple people (thus bringing up heavy emotions) if heaven forbid you lost the baby. There are two sides to this: on one hand you have more people to support you in the time of need, but on the other hand you may have people who are not that close to you sharing a very personal event.

I told my boss the day I found out. My boss and all of my coworkers are all very close. So I was completely comfortable telling her

I'll tell my boss wen flu season is closer. I work for a pharmacy in home health. That way if someone in a patients home is ill I can avoid going and he will help out that month

I told mine and I am 6 wks 1 day, but I only told them because I've had two previous miscarriages in the last 6 months and I wanted them to be aware if anything should happen and I would have to leave

I'm ganna want until 8 weeks. Mc risk drops to 5% at 8 weeks. I already told two coworkers that I am close with at 5 weeks. But I will wait with everybody else
