Acid reflux?

Question

Has anyone’s little ones been diagnosed? What were there symptoms? How do you treat? How did you know it was something more?

Constant fussiness, screaming, crying, throwing up and choking while sleeping. Basically our pediatrician doesn’t want her taking medicine because she was too young and currently she refused again because she said our daughter is gradually gaining weight. If she were to lose weight she would. Normally they prescribe Zantac and have you try different formulas.

My LO has constant terrible congestion since a week or two after birth (8weeks now). So bad that she would have a hard time breathing. Nothing seemed to help it. (Dr. Said this was reflux in her nose/throat) She also got where there was gunk in her throat and she would choke and sputter on it and scared us half to death. That and fussiness after eating. I had never heard of the connection between reflux and congestion but she is 1000x better after ped started her on baby Zantac 2 times a day!

My little man is 2 months and he just had his appointment a couple days ago and then another one yesterday. Poor little monster has reflux. His symptoms are: Fussy when eating, spitting up at every feeding, arching his back after eating while screaming, milk coming out of his nose, choking, and not wanting to lay on his back. Yesterday, he scared the life out of me because he was laying on his back getting changed. I turned to grab the wipes and in the corner of my eye, i saw he was squirming and spit his binky out but wasn't making noise. So i turned back and seen that milk came out of his nose and since he was on his back, he was choking and couldnt breathe. She told me to try doctor brown's bottles and see if it helps. I don't know what it is, but he doesn't have milk come out of his nose after he uses those bottles. Seems to be helping so far

Around 2 weeks old, my baby all of a sudden would hysterically cry all the time. Which was a huge change in her behavior. Especially after eating. After a couple days of this she started not wanting to latch and it would sometimes take me 30-40 minutes just to get her to start eating. Then she would spit up every time she got done eating. The combo of crying, not wanting to eat and spitting up led me to take her to her dr and they diagnosed her with acid reflux. We started giving her Zantac 3 times a day and at 2 months lowered it to twice a day. She is a completely different baby. Now she rarely spits up after eating and latches perfectly.
