So my bf has told me since day one he was adopted and his birth parents died from a drug overdose and he was born 2 months premature... so when I was pregnant we had no knowledge of his family’s medical history... he tells EVERYONE he’s adopted so I really didn’t think much of it. However he did this dna testing thing for his genetic background. We got the idea after his sister and her husband did theirs.

I got my results so I logged in and I checked his results yesterday and it shows his sister as a half sibling... his sister wasn’t adopted and we also knew that their dad wasn’t her biological father.

I’m so confused like why would he lie to me and his friends about being adopted? Why would you make up such a horrific story to lie about?? It’s absolutely insane. I didn’t ask him about it yet I figured I’d do it this weekend when we look at them together...

1. He tells everyone BOTH of his biological parents died from a drug overdose. He says he has seen his original birth certificate with his mother listed as Jane Doe and his bio fathers name (not his adoptive father)

2. His mom always talks about when she was pregnant and his birth story- he says it is her being crazy bc she’s an alcoholic and is confused with him and his sister

3. He said he wanted to do the test to find out his heritage because he had no clue he wasn’t trying to find family.
