My partner and I both have herpes and are expecting our first child. Obviously we want to do everything possible to protect her. I will be taking an antiviral from 30 weeks until the birth and would like to keep this private from our families. No one knows that we carry the virus. My doctor has agreed to try to keep it quiet but suggested that I come up with an excuse for being on antivirals that I can tell our family if they see the pills. Anyone else deal with this? I'm looking for suggestions of how to hide the virus from family and also how to deal with reactions in the event that they do find out. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!
