Surprise from the ER Doctor!

Hello all,

We’ve been trying to conceive for 4 years now with Fertiliy treatments and lots of monitoring, appointments, medications, and so on. Last week I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with bronchitis... I was given medication/antibiotics and told to come back if it got worse after the antibiotics. I have been feeling crummy for 4 days since finishing the medication and getting worse. I tried to make an appt with my Primary Doctor, but they were booked and I was told to go to the Urgent Care at our Naval Hospital. So, I did... and boy was I in for a shock. I have been spotting and when asked if I could be pregnant, I said well we were trying last month, but I have since been on Birth Control for the past three weeks, and got a negative pregnancy test last month, so I am pretty positive I’m not. They proceeded with giving me a urinalysis and did my chest X-Ray. The doctor came in and asked if they could take my 8 year-old to get a popsicle. I knew something was up. My husband and I sat there worried for a moment. Then the doctor said, well, we found something and I’m not sure if it will be good or bad news for you both. Your X-ray is showing bronchitis still, but your Urine came back with something. He smiled and said, your pregnancy test came back positive. I started laughing hysterically. I thought it was a huge sick prank or a sick joke because my husband works at that hospital in a different department. I went home and took 4 more tests. All popped positive right away. I’m a little concerned about being on birth control for the past 3 weeks now, and I’ve been spotting since the 24th of May, as well. So I don’t want to get too excited, but after 4 YEARS of trying, I can’t help but be a tiny bit excited and hopeful. Hopefully this sticks. We would be 6 weeks today, technically, if I am pregnant, according to our last assisted fertility cycle. Baby dust to all. Never give up! I didn’t and here we are! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
