Pregnant despite PCOS
When I noticed I was cramping all the time and didn’t get pregnant right away, I went straight to my OBGYN. Some might say it was too soon to be worried, but I just didn’t feel right. Sure enough, I was diagnosed with PCOS. Plus, I have anemia, an under active thyroid, and low count of blood platelets. They put me on birth control to treat the PCOS, which was devastating. It was the complete opposite of what I wanted. But I knew it would just be a few months. I finished my second pack and decided to try again. I went on a 10day road trip with my 5-year-old. I started feeling lightheaded and tired, and I blamed it on just being tired from the trip. I soon had sore breasts and the urge to pee a lot! Still, I was scared to even take a test. But since I didn’t get my period that morning, I bought one. Still, I didn’t take it as most women would have. I took a nap. When I woke up with the urge to pee for 10th time that day, I figured I might as well. A positive result in less than a minute! Shocked, I took another an hour later after my next nap. Yup! We couldn’t be happier! At one of our stops along our trip, my daughter and I made wishes in a fountain. I told her I wanted a baby, and she said I’d just have to close my eyes and wish really hard.

My wish came true.
