Need encouragement!

I went off birth control 3 months ago and I think my periods have more or less evened out.  If they continue to be more or less regular, I'm set to start my period at the earliest tomorrow if not in the next few days. We have been TTC and I took a pregnancy test (third month trying) and it looks negative. I inspected that thing practically under a microscope and there's no line. Could I be testing too early? Should I wait until my period is late? I know there are many others that have been trying longer than I have, but I can't help but feel discouraged and sad! We are hoping to have a child before my fiancé leaves for military duties this time next year. I want him to be there for the birth more than anything. I need encouragement! Please ❤️
