VBAC, advice?

Terrified of the idea that something could go wrong with the birth of my daughter whether I have a vaginal birth after c-section or having another c section. I can’t decide what I should do.. my first son was a scheduled c section for the reason he was breech, no complications. I never realized that that ONE and FIRST c section would cause problems for the rest of my pregnancies. Now I’m on my second pregnancy and am torn between VBAC and another c section. Any body have any advice? Or have gone through this?

I’d go for the vbac personally. Doctors like to scare you into another c section but honestly there is much higher chance of risk there than a vbac. But I’d do some research yourself and decide what’s best for you. I though I was fine with a repeat c section with my second till I started to actually look into vbacs, then I realized how silly it was for me to go through a major surgery again when there really is no need 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ve been thinking lots about this!! I had a fabulous drug-free vaginal birth for my first and it was empowering and beautiful. Complications for my second pregnancy meant I had to have a c section. Now I’m pregnant again. I want that same experience of vaginal birth like with my first so I’ve done a lot of research. It is possible, and actually highly likely that you can have a vbac. There are some things to consider as you decide... I think the best resource I can recommend to start is a podcast interviewing an amazing woman who trains nurses etc in the facts of VBACs. U have a good chance of vbac after just 1 c section I tried after 2 and failed scar started to tear so emergency c section I had to have I thought that was it for any more but no 11 weeks pp got preg and having to have planned c section this will be baby no 6 had 2 natural first

My doctor has been fully supportive with me and wanting to try the VBAC. He told me as long as there are no complications and I can birth on my own, he doesn't see why not. Mine was technically not medically needed. My son just decided that when though my water broke, he wasn't ready. He had turned sideways and my doctor at the time decided it wasn't worth turning him back. They had plenty of opportunity to turn him at the beginning and didn't. There are risks, but he said the percentage was low.

I’m going for another c-section. I have heard the horror stories of possible death of baby or me or both if I attempted a VBAC and honestly it’s just not worth the risk for me. Uterine rupture is a real thing and I’m not willing to risk it for an experience. Just my opinion

why would you want to give birth vaginally after having a c section? I had my first naturally and it was the most horrific experience of my life. with my second I had a planned c section and it was amazing. after that I couldn't comprehend why people are still pushing babies out of their vaginas. I guess some people have it easier than others. I had other complications with the shape of my womb so that made delivery difficult. I'd say not to be frighted or scare mongered into not having a section of its what you want. yes things can go wrong but things can go wrong during birth as well and it's much more panicky. I'm on my third now and I'm planning for a second section and hoping to god everything will be ok when they open me up to get baby number 3 out. but I'd rather that than risk going thru what I went thru with my first! fuk that

I am torn on what to choose also. my first pregnancy I ended up with emergency c section as she was back to back and wasn't coming no matter how much pushing I was doing. I have been offered VBAC this time as they know I fully dialated last time but they said to me if they didn't know if I could labour properly I would've had to have a section (it's different everywhere though)
