Dizzy when lying down?

Question

So I just laid down in bed and I got a sudden dizzy spell. I'm not one to get dizzy so my fiancé told me to get his mother to check my sugar and blood pressure. I can't remember what my sugar was but she said it was fine and my blood pressure was 100/68. I'll be 20 at the end of the year if that helps any. As I was typing this I shifted in bed and had an intense wave of dizziness that came from nowhere and it only happens when I'm lying down, never when I'm standing up. What could be going on?

If could be your blood pressure is too low or it took a dramatic drop from where it was previously.  My husband has Atrial Fibrillation and his blood pressure drops very quickly and makes him very dizzy and nauseous.  He sees a Cardiologist and they have done all the heart tests and his Dr says his heart is healthy and doesn’t need anything done yet but he takes a medicine called Midodrine that helps stabilize his blood pressure so it doesn’t drop too quickly and it has seemed to help him.

I have the same problem. I could feel the dizziness before it happened, like a pause and then my head started spinning like someone snapped and spin me around. My head is still dizzy and it only gets worse when I lie down or turning my head to the side. Before this dizzy attack, I had my heart ached the night before, but my heart rate was okay. I am waiting to see if it will get better tomorrow. If not I’ll see the doctor.
