My crazy birth story.....from a June baby to a May baby!

Sandi

I had my baby girl on Thursday, May 31st (was due June 9th). Went to the high risk doctor that morning, but failed the NST and my blood pressure was high so he decided to induce me that day. Got my iv at 11:30am and played the waiting game while waiting for my blood work to come back before starting anything. At this point I was having regular contractions and have been 4cm for a few weeks so the plan was to get the epidural before the pitocin. At 1:14pm I was getting the epidural (just started getting it put in) when my water broke. My baby girl was born just 3 minutes later at 1:17pm after pushing 4 times. The medicine that the doctor injected directly into my spine in hopes that it would start working before I had to push didn't start working until I was getting stitched up. Right before he started putting the epidural in I was checked and I was 5cm 75% effaced and -2 station and after he was done and I laid down they checked me because I could feel her and her shoulder and cord was starting to come out!!!! They were screaming for the doctor to get in the room! This is my fourth baby and it's crazy how quickly things can happen!!!! Stephanie Nicole was born on May 31st 5 pounds 14 ounces, 18 inches born at 1:17pm after 4 pushes and absolutely perfect!!!! Had the high risk doctor not decided to induce me I would have ended up having her at home!!!
