10 wks with brown discharge?

Ok I'm a little over 10 weeks now with my first pregnancy. We just had a U/S Tuesday and the baby was doing great....very active and a good heartbeat. I just went to go pee and had brown discharge in my underwear and when I wiped (sorry for the tmi). I instantly think the worst and had my dr paged and he called back and told me he wouldn't be concerned unless it was an actual flow and I began to have painful cramping. My husband and I did have intercourse last night so he said that could have something to do with it. Anyone else experienced this?

Brown discharge is normal in the beginning stages it is the sign of old blood... That is exactly what happened to me, I started to think the worst as well... U will have a healthy baby your pregnancy will be great (;

I had brown discharge for 12 weeks and even turned bright red and became a flow...I was so scared. I am now 25 weeks pregnant with a seemingly healthy baby.Hang in there it will be ok. Best of luck

Did you by any chance have a vaginal ultrasound? If so they usually cause some sort of spotting. Unless it's bright red you shouldn't over stress it.

I had a hemmoriage at 5 weeks. Spotted some, doc said the more red the blood the more serious and that brown was typically old blood.

I've had brown spotting, red bleeding and blood clots. Baby is 24 weeks and healthy. Not everyone loses their baby when blood passes. It could be from having sex. Don't have sex again until you no longer have any discharge and try to take it easy. That's what my dr told me to do

I had very similar spotting in the beginning of my pregnancy. Sex made it worse, but it was only when I went to the bathroom and always brown. My doctor found a benign polyp on my cervix at 14 weeks and removed it. I've had no spotting since.

I did with my second MC. I went in for an US, saw a heartbeat and came home and started with brown blood until it went to red and got way worse. BUT. I'm not saying that's happening to you, just wanted to respond. It's possible it's just from intercourse and from getting the ultrasound as well. I had a MC before this one as well so they're were other issues I had going on. Hope it gets better! Try and rest. Best of luck.
