Stretch marks?

Does anyone know when stretch marks start showing up?  My bump has started getting a little bigger (comparing 12 weeks to 8, bigger bump but only gained 2 pounds). This is my first pregnancy, and I'm not sure when I should start slathering on the belly butter haha. I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question.

If you're going to get them you're going to get them I matter what you do. Depends on how much collagen you have naturally.

Your skin can't absorb collagen through lotions/ oils. I'm drinking powdered gelatin everyday so that it can absorb from the inside out. Gelatin helps the formation of collagen. I use Great Lakes gelitan from Amazon. (Green container). Hope it works!

I went to put  cocoa butter and saw how many old stretch marks I didn't even know I had because they are so light. I just said forget it until I see a pink one.

With my first two, I hardly got stretch marks. Now, #3 i already see a little stretching on my sides at 13weeks. It's different for everyone. I do believe it's hereditary.

Stretch marks are hereditary.
I used 5 different lotions and 2 different oils during my pregnancy and I still got bad stretch marks. 
They started appearing around the 32 weeks mark for me.

I noticed my 1st last week I was 9 weeks then! Start now just to help your skin :)

Start now, it'll help make your skin more elastic-ish to help with the stretching, but just know, it doesn't completely stop them. If you start using it afte they appear the damage is already done so to say.
