Does doc check for dilation if your schedule for a c-section?

I'm 33 weeks and know with my first child they started checking around 36 weeks, but since my second baby is a c-section do they even check to see if I'm dilated ? And for those that ask I'm having a c-section BC my first was an emergency one and  hospital doesn't do vbac.

My doctor said there was no need to check if I wasn't having any contractions because it risks infection. I had a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks and was never checked for dilation.

Mine only checked for dialation once and that was at 37 weeks and didn't bother to check it again. I had my c section at 39+4 days.
