Should I change my pumping schedule to help production

itsme

So I’ve never been able to make a lot of milk, like five to six ounces a day. My daughter was born at twenty nine weeks and five days. She just turned s month on the fourteenth. She’s still in the nicu, she had gotten pneumatosis a week ago, they figured it was nec (pneumatosis is the stage before it turns into nec) so they stopped feedings for a few days and watched her and did x rays each morning, she is still on antibiotics and fluids. After that happened I read different reasons for causes of nec, one being something about antibiotics and bacteria growing, I was on antibiotics for mastitis, so I’m not sure if that could’ve contributed to it, but I’m trying to increase my milk production naturally, I don’t want to take anything.

The nurses where telling me to sleep through the night, so I was. Everyone said that I needed to get up and pump during the night so I am now. Eating two packs of oatmeal a day, and drinking about a gallon of water. Also trying to power pump. The more I pump, it seems the less I have. It’s only my first day since I started pumping during the night but the farther into the day it gets, the less I make. Is it natural to do that before your body starts learning it needs to make more?

I don’t want to formula feed her, but I have enough for her to have my milk till ten thirty, maybe one thirty. So I guess they are gonna mix it with what I bring it. But I e read formula could be a cause for nec so I want to stick to just my milk. My pumping schedule now is

3:30 am

6:30 am

9:30am

12:30pm

3:30pm

6:30pm

8:30pm

11:30pm

Should I try to do more pumping sessions. There is a four hour gap between the 11:30 to 3:30 feeding, is that to much time in between for trying to boost my supply? Any schedule recommendations?

P.s I’ve tried lots of things to boost my supply before this happened. I took reglan for ten days, try the honest company lactation pills, lactation drink mix, lactation cookies, breast massages, breast massages in the shower, pumping upside down, drinking blue Powerade, feel like I’ve tried it all, but like I said, anything to boost my supply now has to be all natural
