Kidney problems,Endometriosis, what is wrong with me?

Gabri

Hello! I am young and I don’t have any health insurance and I just moved to New York with my husband. Since I was 16 I have had kidney stones. Some big enough to have surgery to remove. I am 20 now and have had a severe kidney infection. I am used to the aches and the pain. I just take ibuprofen and continue on with my day. I have an extremely high pain tolerance. The doctors didn’t even believe anything was wrong with me, until the tests came back positive. For the past two years or so on my period I will get terrible abdomen pain. My abdomen will be extremely tender. Lower abdomen. And where my kidneys are on my back, so I have always attributed this pain toy kidneys and my period all happening at once and making me sick. Well I started my period on the 17th of June. Still on it. A day before I had terrible cramps, but that’s what they were, cramps. So I just knew my period was starting. And it did the next day. At the same time I started feeling sick. I had a foggy mind, if that makes sense and I had a migraine that lasted pretty much all day, but I have a high pain tolerance, so I didn’t care. That night I woke up in the early mornings sweating and I had a extremely high fever and felt terrible. I drank lots of water and I took ibuprofen, I take 4 because my tolerance has gone up because of taking them for kidney stones, which is normal. My doctor said it was the best thing I could take. I was able to get back to sleep woke up and my fever had broke and I was extremely sweaty. But I felt better. I went to work and at work my fever started to come back, I was developing a sore throat and my ears started hurting so I thought, I’m just getting sick and I have bad timing. Later into the day, my abdomen is getting extremely tender, like stabbing pains and every step I took walking home hurt a lot. Since I have a high pain tolerance, if it hurt this much, it has to be something right? It hurt so much. I could barely stand it. I only felt better laying down. If I accidentally touched my abdomen, it hurt. I went to sleep and that brings up to today. My abdomen still hurts, but not as bad as yesterday and my fever is down. Although I keep taking my ibuprofen. But I still feel my abdomen hurting. It’s not normal cramping. It’s aches. Which is similar to what I experienced when I had a kidney infection. But only in one side of my body. But not as terrible. And I get jolts of pain. I hate it. I had a miscarriage a year ago and I started feeling similar pain then and when I went to the hospital they just said it was my bleeding at that it is normal, but I’ve had it for a long time since then sometimes not as severe. Sometimes extremely severe and even when I’m not in my period I will get aches and pains in my lower abdomen. Since I don’t have health insurance, I want to be lead in the right direction since I will be paying out of pocket. If I should go straight to a GYN or the doctors office. Doctors and hospitals scare me and so I don’t like to go. But I don’t want anything serious to be going on because I’m married and I want children someday and whatever I can do to fix whatever this problem is, can be important in that.
