Cold feet??

Let me give a back story before I dive into what this title means. My husband and I have been together for 5 married for almost 3 years and the topic of kids has been brought up but we both knew we weren’t ready to start trying for at least a year into our marriage. The main reason was bc of my career path, I wanted a good solid foundation at a job before I had kids. My husband has always wanted them, he’s such a great uncle to his nieces and nephews and i know in my heart that he’d be an amazing dad. He’s mentioned babies and pregnancy through out our entire relationship and it was always me who was holding it back.

Fast forward to now. We decided to start trying this late summer/early fall. All of a sudden my husband is really distant. I feel like now that it’s a reality about becoming a father he’s getting cold feet. Is this a normal thing???
