Would you keep your job or not?

So, me and my husband are trying to have a baby and I'm currently a nanny. My job would  allow me to still work and be with the baby. It's good money and I absolutely love the family I work for, however I would have to leave every morning at 5:30 (because I do in home care at their house) and I worried about transporting the baby that early. It's a really good job! I get paid sick and vatcations  days and also I get paid even if they are on vacation! However, my husband and I don't really need me to work and I could be a stay at home mom. What would you do?

I do know that it's extremely early but I'm just curious what you guys would do!

If I were in your situation, I'd still work, never hurts to have the extra money, you never know when you're gonna need it. Sometimes things happen and you wish you had a little more money. I'd take some time off after having the baby and go back. At least you can take your baby with you. I'd work for them as long as I could, at some point they will no longer need a nanny and then you'll be looking for new employment and they might not pay as well.

Personally I'd keep the job. The extra money is a great cushion for when life happens. I think it's a great opportunity to make money and have your baby there every step of the way! Jealous!!

Babies travel well especially early on.  Then they will get used to the waking times.

I would keep my job If I could take my baby with me ! Thats a huge plus ! I am going to be a stay at home mom because I dont want anyone else to raise my baby the first couple of years. We dont need the money either but of course it would help if I could work. Good luck

For me I would stay home because I really want to be a stay at home mom. That's not for everyone. Do want you feels is best for you.
