I already knew the answer but I asked my BF the other night if we were going to and he just looked at me like I was retarded. He said "duh, why wouldn't we?" My first son is also circumcised and this one will be to. For my BF, it's just because he is circumcised but I've done my research and I work as a cna. I've seen elderly men get infections because their foreskin isn't cleaned properly. I'm not going to risk my child having problems when he's older. And we're going to have it done when he's a child because that way he won't remember it as opposed to getting it done when he's an adult.  But everyone has their own reasons for and against....this is just mine!

Honestly for me, is not as big of a deal as it is for other mothers. I let my partner choose. He was circumcised and wants his sons to be as well. It's funny really. It's the men who get circumcised, but all you ever see is the woman who put up this huge fight and argument on why they shouldn't be. Very rarely have I ever cone across a forum on this topic where a man puts in his two cents. Idk, I just find it quite interesting.

Okay so I don't know what I'm having yet but, if it's a boy, I'm seriously considering not circumcising. I don't understand how an uncircumcised penis can be any dirtier than the folds of the female labia. I'm not sure, but I think a lot of the stigma of being uncircumcised has died down a lot. I have been with a guy that was not, and from the female perspective, I didn't think anything of it. While it does look different unaroused, it looks the same as any other when erect. So personally I think it's unnecessary. Thanks for starting this topic, I look forward to hearing insight and opinions from others!

after reading that the foreskin is adhered to the penis the same way your fingernail is to your finger I said no freaking way. my first son was a preemie so that was the last thing on my mind. he is 7 and I've taught him the correct way to wash up and he's also supervised during bathing times to make sure. husband wanted our newest on the way circumcised since we were able to do it with out first. that was legitimately his only reason. but after doing some more reading we agreed not to. I told him if his sons want "cute" penises for then they can do it themselves as adults lol my grandma always said if God put it there there is no mistake

Personal choice... if we have a boy, he will be circumcised. If you choose not to have your son circumcised, that's your choice.

My fiancé isn't. He says he wishes he was because it's extremely painful when the skin pulls. So we're having our son done to prevent that pain later on.

I had my first born circumcised and we will do the same for this baby. I know they say that there is no longer an issue with cleanliness, but I don't know how to clean and take care of an uncircumcised male. I have also never been with someone that who wasn't, I hear that is a lot of negative talk when a man isn't and I don't want my child to feel different.

I don't want to because it an unnecessary procedure but dad wants to. I haven't gotten my way with anything during this pregnancy so I guess imma say fuck it and let dad get this one. I e been with uncircumcised and it's really no difference. Our society likes to make people feel outcasted for being different. With good hygiene, which all people should be taught, I see no problem with not doing it. But really it is what it is.
